Kyle Kruse is the Democratic candidate for Iowa House of Representatives District 56 in the November 3, 2026 general election, running against incumbent Republican Mark Thompson.[1][2] He advanced from the Democratic primary on June 2, 2026, and was also the Democratic nominee for the seat in 2024.[1]
Kyle Kruse ran for Iowa House District 56 in 2024 and won the Democratic primary on June 4, 2024.[1] In the November 5, 2024 general election, he lost to incumbent Republican Mark Thompson, receiving 3,876 votes (25.7 percent) to Thompson's 11,167 (74.1 percent).[1]
