Biography
Khristian Silvis is the Democratic candidate for the Michigan House of Representatives, District 84, in the November 3, 2026 general election, after defeating Justin Rackham in the August 4 Democratic primary.[1][2] A U.S. Army veteran, she lists affordability, public education, and support for veterans and first responders as her campaign priorities.[1][3]
Silvis served in the U.S. Army from 2009 to 2012.[1] In a Ballotpedia survey, she described herself as a veteran, wife and mother of two who served as a combat medic on a tour in Afghanistan.[3] She said she later worked alongside members of Congress in New York and West Michigan, connecting people with resources.[3]
Silvis listed three key messages in the survey: affordability and building the middle class, strengthening public education, and supporting veterans and first responders.[3] She named education and affordable health care as the areas of public policy she is most passionate about.[3]
