Biography
Kelly Hough is the Democratic candidate for the South Carolina House of Representatives, District 114, in the November 3, 2026 general election, where incumbent Gary Brewer (R) is also on the ballot.[1][2] In a Ballotpedia survey, she described herself as a South Carolina native, a nurse of nearly 10 years, a wife and a mother of four.[3]
Hough attended the University of South Carolina, Aiken, Trident Technical College, the College of Charleston and Midlands Technical College, and her listed career experience is in healthcare.[1] She advanced from the Democratic primary without appearing on the ballot after the June 9, 2026 primary was canceled.[1]
In a Ballotpedia survey, Hough said her experiences in healthcare and raising a family in South Carolina showed her the need for stronger healthcare access, better educational support for children, responsible economic growth and leadership that listens to the people it represents.[3] She said families should be able to afford housing, food, healthcare and childcare and to save for the future.[3]
