Biography
Kaylee Kuehn is the Democratic candidate for the Washington House of Representatives, District 24-Position 2, in the November 3, 2026 general election, an open seat; Marcia Kelbon (no party preference) is also on the ballot.[1][3] In a Ballotpedia survey, she described herself as a former legislative aide and high school teacher.[2]
Kaylee Kuehn graduated from Sequim Senior High School, earned a bachelor's degree from The Evergreen State College in 2021 and a graduate degree from Grand Canyon University in 2023.[1] In her survey answers, she said she grew up in Sequim and was raised by two public high school teachers, and that she interned in the state Senate while at Evergreen and later worked there as a legislative aide.[2] She said she then became a high school teacher of math, history and government and coached girls' wrestling.[2]
Kuehn said she now works with The Building Bridges Project, a nonprofit that teaches civility and civic engagement to young people, and advocates in Olympia for a pulp and paper workers union.[2] She listed increasing access and lowering costs for healthcare, housing and childcare, and protecting the environment, as her primary focus.[2]
