Biography
Joshua Brant is an Independent candidate for Indiana State Senate District 23 in the November 3, 2026 general election, alongside Republican incumbent Spencer Deery and Democrat David Sanders.[1][2] A U.S. Marine Corps veteran, he describes his campaign as centered on anti-corruption and putting people over party.[1][3]
Joshua Brant served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 2002 to 2007.[1] He earned a high school diploma from Jefferson High School and an associate degree from Ivy Tech Community College.[1]
In a Ballotpedia survey, Brant described himself as a veteran, father and lifelong Hoosier who is running as an Independent because corruption and party loyalty, in his view, keep lawmakers from having genuine conversations about healthcare, public education and affordability.[3] He said he is committed to strengthening all Indiana schools and expanding access to affordable healthcare.[3]
