Biography
Joe Tache is the Party for Socialism and Liberation candidate for U.S. Senate. He is a Boston youth worker and community organizer who describes his campaign as a socialist alternative to both major parties. His campaign calls for redistributing wealth, a 90% cut to the military budget and public funding of housing, healthcare and education.[1][2][3]
Joe Tache is a Philadelphia native who attended Northeastern University, where he studied business.[1] While at Northeastern he took part in marches and protests against police brutality and gentrification, for housing justice and alongside campus dining hall workers in a contract dispute, and he says the experience led him to identify with socialism.[1]
Tache works as a youth worker and community organizer in Boston; WAMC described him in September 2026 as a 31-year-old community organizer and activist from Boston.[1][2] He is running for the seat Ed Markey has held since 2013 and is on the November 3, 2026 general-election ballot.[4]
