Biography
Jonathan Bradner is the Democratic candidate for Ohio House of Representatives District 29 in the November 3, 2026 general election, running against incumbent Republican Cindy Abrams.[1][2] A pastor, he described himself in a Ballotpedia survey as a reconciling pastor and local advocate whose priorities include affordability, public school funding and housing costs.[2][3]
Jonathan Bradner graduated from the United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities in 2021 and has worked as a pastor.[2] In a Ballotpedia survey, he said he was raised in Northwest Ohio, worked on a pig farm as a young person and later built a career in the hospitality industry that ended with the title Director of Operations and Marketing and Sales.[3] He said that in that career he advocated for fair wages for his co-workers, which guides his support for labor and union organizing.[3]
Bradner said in the survey that his top priority is affordability, including property tax relief, capping corporate ownership of housing, and capping prescription drug costs.[3] He also called for fully funding public education and listed the Hamilton County Democratic Party as an endorser.[3]
