Biography

Jon Kamerath is the Independent American Party candidate in Nevada's 3rd District, on the November 3 ballot with Democratic incumbent Susie Lee and Republican Marty O'Donnell. Ballotpedia lists earlier campaigns for the Nevada Assembly in 2010 and the Nevada State Senate in 2014, and he has not completed its 2026 candidate survey.[1]

Kamerath first appears in the record as a 2010 candidate for the Nevada Assembly. He won the June 8 primary over Annie Black, 2,866 votes to 1,359, and then lost the November general election to John Hambrick (R); David Lerner (D) was also on that ballot.[1] In 2014 he ran as the Independent American candidate for Nevada State Senate District 8 and received 3.9% of the vote (1,119 votes) in a race won by Patricia Farley (R). His 2014 campaign website said he would sponsor legislation to reduce the size of government and cut spending and taxes, specifically property and sales taxes.[1]
