Biography

Morgan earned a bachelor's degree from California State University, Long Beach, in 1970 and a graduate degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in 1982, and served as an officer in the U.S. Air Force from 1972 to 1993.[1] In a Ballotpedia survey he said he retired as a lieutenant colonel after 21 years in the Air Force, flew reconnaissance missions beginning during the Vietnam War, and later flew Presidents George H. W. Bush and Bill Clinton.[2] He said he then worked as a commercial airline captain and pilot flight instructor on the Boeing 747.[2]

Morgan said he later ran for and was elected a city commissioner and began a business that provides affordable housing.[2] He listed affordability, progressive taxation, accessible health care and child care, and full legislative funding of public education as campaign priorities.[2]
