Biography
John Hjersman is the Libertarian candidate for Colorado House of Representatives District 16 in the November 3, 2026 general election.[1][2] A retired marine engineer, he has also appeared on the ballot for the seat in 2020 and 2022.[1]
John Hjersman attended the United States Merchant Marine Academy in 1968, studying marine engineering, and served in the U.S. Navy Reserve from 1968 to 1972.[1] He worked as a marine engineer from 1968 to 2012, retiring as chief engineer, and has served on the board of directors of the Libertarian Party of Colorado.[1]
