Jessica Martinez is the Republican candidate for California State Assembly District 56 in the November 3, 2026 general election, facing incumbent Lisa Calderon (D).[1][2] She also ran for the seat in 2022 and 2024, losing to Calderon in both general elections.[1]
Jessica Martinez advanced from the June 7, 2022 primary for Assembly District 56 and lost the November 8, 2022 general election to incumbent Lisa Calderon, 58.5 percent to 41.5 percent.[1] She advanced again from the March 5, 2024 primary and lost the November 5, 2024 general election to Calderon, 56.7 percent to 43.3 percent.[1] Martinez advanced from the June 2, 2026 primary alongside Calderon.[1]
