Jessica Forsythe is a Democratic candidate for the Washington House of Representatives, District 48-Position 2, facing Democratic incumbent Amy Walen in the November 3, 2026 general election.[1] In a Ballotpedia survey, she described herself as a Redmond City Councilmember, former nonprofit executive director and small business owner.[2]

In a Ballotpedia survey, Jessica Forsythe said she was elected to the Redmond City Council in 2019 and chosen as council president in her first term.[2] She wrote that she is a former award-winning creative director and former nonprofit executive director, and that she conceived legislation that became state law (SB 5452), expanded tenant protections, co-authored Redmond's Climate Emergency Declaration and added three mental health professional positions to the city's crisis response.[2]

Forsythe said she would prioritize housing affordability at all income levels, sustainable and equitable funding for K-12 schools and early learning, and climate and environmental resiliency.[2] Her survey also lists immigrant rights, reproductive freedom and a clean energy transition with strong labor standards among her priorities, and names endorsers including former Governor Jay Inslee and the King County Democrats.[2]
