Biography

Jessica Ethridge is the Libertarian Party nominee for South Carolina's 4th District. She was the Libertarian candidate for lieutenant governor in 2022, and her campaign then described her as active in the Libertarian Party and a legal professional. Little other biographical information about her 2026 campaign is public.[1][2]

According to her Libertarian Party candidate profile, Ethridge grew up in Greer, has lived in the Upstate all her life, and has worked as a legal professional for almost 20 years, most recently in the title insurance industry. In 2022 she was the Libertarian candidate for South Carolina Lieutenant Governor on a ticket with gubernatorial candidate Bruce Reeves, receiving 1.2 percent of the vote.[4][2][3] Her 2022 campaign said she had been active in the liberty movement for nearly a decade, was a member of the South Carolina Libertarian Party since 2019 and a state representative to two national conventions, and described her as an activist, mother and legal professional. The party profile says she has served as Greenville County Libertarian Party secretary and chair and as second vice chair of the state party.[2][4] Ethridge advanced from the Libertarian convention for the 4th District on April 11, 2026.[1][3]
