Jeremiah Jabs

RCandidate

On the ballot Nov 3, 2026: Montana House District 42

Biography

Jeremiah Jabs is the Republican candidate for Montana House of Representatives District 42 in the November 3, 2026 general election, facing incumbent Democrat Sidney Fitzpatrick.[1][2] A farmer and rancher from St. Xavier, he named energy production, community safety and agriculture as key campaign messages in a Ballotpedia survey.[2][3]

Jeremiah Jabs graduated from Hardin High School and works as a farmer and rancher.[2] In a Ballotpedia survey, he said he was born and raised in St. Xavier, Montana, worked in agriculture and shipping across the United States and internationally after high school, and then returned to farm in St. Xavier.[3] He said he has worked on ranches in New Zealand and Australia, which he said motivates him to look out for Montanans' interests at the policy level.[3]

Jabs said in the survey that energy production should benefit Montanans, that communities in Big Horn and Yellowstone counties deserve safe neighborhoods, and that he would support Montana agriculture, including by expanding the noxious weeds list or supporting a right to repair.[3]
