DCandidate

On the ballot Nov 3, 2026: Georgia House District 131

Biography

Jenny Eppard is the Democratic candidate for the Georgia House of Representatives, District 131, in the November 3, 2026 general election, running against incumbent Rob Clifton (R).[1][2] A retired federal employee and U.S. Air Force veteran, she advanced from the Democratic primary on May 19, 2026.[1][3]

Eppard served in the U.S. Air Force from 1995 to 2003.[1] In a Ballotpedia survey, she said she has lived in the Central Savannah River Area since 1997 and in Evans, Georgia, since 2006, and raised three sons there with her husband.[3] She said she worked as a technical leader in the Department of Defense during her federal career and retired in October 2025.[3]

In the survey, Eppard said Georgia must be ready to take care of itself as the federal government withdraws from public services, and she listed expanded emergency preparedness, rural health access, Medicaid participation, and a state minimum wage indexed to the state average wage among her priorities.[3] She also said she supports putting data centers on hold, a state fund for retraining workers affected by artificial intelligence, and treating health care as a regulated utility.[3]
