Biography
Jennifer Hardin is the Democratic candidate for Kentucky House of Representatives District 33 in the November 3, 2026 general election, facing incumbent Jason Michael Nemes (R).[1][2] She is a small business owner and, in a Ballotpedia survey, described herself as a mother who is running to represent the community rather than the interests that already have a seat at the table.[2][3]
Hardin was born in Louisville and graduated from South Oldham High School, and Ballotpedia lists a bachelor's degree from Morehead State University in 2005.[2] She said in a Ballotpedia survey that her degree was in government with an emphasis on regional analysis and public policy, and that she later pursued a master's in public administration while raising a child with special needs.[3] She said she founded a Kentucky-based gift company in 2016 and a sock company in 2019 that now sells in 22 states.[3] Hardin said she supports labor rights and is affiliated with The Political Women's Council.[3][2]
