Biography

Jason Pearce is the Democratic nominee for Texas's 4th Congressional District and a first-time candidate from Plano. He has worked in sales, customer service and mortgage lending, among other jobs, and describes his campaign as focused on getting money out of politics, term limits and affordability.[1][2]

Pearce was born and raised in Plano, Texas, in 1993 and graduated from Plano Senior High School.[1][2] He has worked in sales, customer service, mortgage loan origination, and as a chef, restaurant manager, sales trainer, day trader, security manager and insurance advisor. In his Ballotpedia survey he says he worked 14 years in sales and customer service and was a mortgage loan originator from 2019 to 2021.[1][2]

Pearce won the March 3, 2026 Democratic primary for the district over Andrew Rubell.[1][2] In his Ballotpedia survey he says he had not planned to run for office before this year, and he lists term limits with mandatory retirement at 65, banning lobbying and overturning Citizens United, and barring companies from buying single-family homes as his key messages.[2]
