Biography
Henry Hostetler is the Republican candidate for the North Carolina State Senate, District 5, in the November 3, 2026 general election, running against incumbent Kandie Smith (D).[1][2] Hostetler is the owner of the Baywood Racquet Club and a past president of the North Carolina Tennis Foundation.[1]
Henry Hostetler won the March 3, 2026 Republican primary for District 5 with 83.3% of the vote over Angelene Mitchell.[2] Ballotpedia quotes his campaign website as saying his top priority is for District 5 to obtain its share of state funding and for senators to be known to their constituents.[1]
