Biography
George Dobbins is the Republican and Conservative Party candidate for New York State Assembly District 130 in the November 3, 2026 general election, having won the June 23, 2026 Republican primary. He is an attorney.[1][2]
Dobbins earned a high school diploma from Lyons High School, a bachelor's degree from George Washington University and a law degree from Georgetown University.[1] In a Ballotpedia survey, he said he was raised by a family of small business owners in Lyons, New York, and that after law school he and his wife moved back to their hometown to raise a family.[3] He described his legal work as focused on business and real estate law.[3]
Dobbins named affordability, rolling back bail reform and expanding apprenticeship and trade training as his campaign's key messages.[3] He listed endorsements from the Wayne County Republican and Conservative parties and Assemblyman Brian Manktelow, among others.[3]
