Biography
Gabrianna Gratzol is the Democratic candidate for Indiana State Senate District 11 in the November 3, 2026 general election, in which she faces Republican Brian Schmutzler for a seat with no incumbent.[1][3] In a Ballotpedia survey, she listed affordability, public education and worker protections as her key messages.[2]
In a Ballotpedia survey, Gratzol said her affordability message includes raising the minimum wage, lowering utility costs, stopping price gouging, and lowering prescription drug and healthcare costs.[2] She said she wants to protect and strengthen public education and stop the use of taxpayer dollars to fund private and charter schools that are not held to the same standards.[2] She also said she supports establishing protections for unions and ending at-will employment laws.[2]
Gratzol said her interest in public education stems from being pulled out of public schools from seventh grade to graduation because of her parents' concerns about their quality, and that she faced barriers as an adult as a result.[2]
