Erica Bray-Parker is the Democratic candidate for the Illinois House of Representatives, District 47, in the November 3, 2026 general election.[1][2] A retired high school teacher, she has served on the Wheaton City Council as an at-large member since being elected in 2019, according to her Ballotpedia survey.[3]

Bray-Parker said she was elected Wheaton City Councilwoman At-Large in 2019 and that the city has maintained a AAA bond rating and avoided property tax levy increases for seven consecutive years.[3] She said she has served on the Illinois Education Association Board of Directors since 2017 and has advised Congressman Sean Casten and former State Representative Terra Costa Howard on education policy.[3] She advanced from the Democratic primary on March 17, 2026.[1]

In the survey, Bray-Parker named affordability, public safety and public education among her priorities, and said she supports the Protect Illinois Communities Act and senior property tax relief.[3] She described herself as a 30-year Wheaton resident who lives with her husband, Jeremy, and has two adult sons.[3]
