According to his Ballotpedia Candidate Connection survey and campaign website, Eon Tyrell Huntley grew up in East New York and in NYCHA's Pink Houses; his father immigrated from Guyana and his mother is a second-generation Brooklynite.[1][2] He says he attended New York City public schools, and Ballotpedia lists a high school diploma from the High School of Art and Design and a bachelor's degree from the Parsons School of Design in 2006.[1] Huntley describes working as a fashion designer and, currently, a retail clothing salesman, and Ballotpedia lists his profession as retail.[1][2] He says that as a member of the bargaining committee for Workers United Local 340, he fought for and won healthcare coverage for fellow workers.[1][2]
