Biography
Elliot Valdez is the Democratic candidate for the Georgia House of Representatives, District 139, in the November 3, 2026 general election, having advanced from the Democratic primary on May 19, 2026.[1][2] A U.S. Army veteran who worked as a producer, he describes himself in a Ballotpedia survey as a veteran and public servant rather than a career politician.[1][3]
Valdez served in the U.S. Army from 2006 to 2016, graduated from Lawton High School, and attended Cameron University.[1] In a Ballotpedia survey, he said that after 14 years of active duty he helped build the U.S. Army's multimedia production house and later served as Broadcast Team Lead for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention before retiring as a federal employee.[3]
Valdez listed sustainable growth, including the widening of US 27 and Veterans Parkway from Muscogee County through Harris County, and environmental conservation, including concerns about data centers, among his key campaign messages.[3] He also criticized Georgia's state minimum wage as too low.[3]
