RCandidate

On the ballot Nov 3, 2026: U.S. House · Washington's 2nd District

Biography

Edwin Feller is the Republican candidate for Washington's 2nd District, an 83-year-old retired HVAC tradesman and business owner from Lynden who has not previously run for office. He is the only Republican who ran in the 2026 race and advanced from the August 4 top-two primary with 32.9% of the vote. His campaign website lists priorities on public safety, energy permitting, women's sports, medical procedures for minors, and immigration.[1][2][3][4]

Feller was born on his family's Hampton Road farm in Lynden, Washington, and graduated from Lynden Christian High School in 1960.[2] He spent about 60 years in the HVAC industry, founding Feller Heating, working about 18 years in a union sheet metal job and owning three businesses, according to Cascadia Daily News.[3][4] Much of his career was spent overseas in construction trades work for contractors of the U.S. government, including several years of HVAC work for the U.S. State Department at facilities in 60 countries.[2][4]

Feller is a first-time candidate for public office. He told the Lynden Tribune he decided to run because "somebody needs to run against Rick."[2][3]
