Biography
Doyle Lewis is the Democratic candidate for Oklahoma House of Representatives District 38 in the November 3, 2026 general election, running against Republican Madison Bolay in a race with no incumbent.[1] A retired oil field worker and U.S. Marine Corps veteran, he says his priorities include rural health care, vocational education and water security.[1][2]
Lewis was born in Hayti, Missouri, and served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1973 to 1975; Ballotpedia lists his profession as retired.[1] In a Ballotpedia survey, he described himself as a retired oil field worker who wants to be a conduit for the people of District 38.[2] He said his father died in a car accident when he was 4 years old and that his mother raised eight children on her own.[2]
Lewis's Democratic primary was canceled, and he advanced to the general election without appearing on the primary ballot.[1] He listed access to rural health care services, improving the vocational system and water security and management as his three campaign messages.[2]
