DCandidate

On the ballot Nov 3, 2026: South Carolina House District 105

Biography

David Wilson is the Democratic candidate for the South Carolina House of Representatives, District 105, in the November 3, 2026 general election; the June 9, 2026 Democratic primary was canceled.[1] In a Ballotpedia survey, he described himself as a Myrtle Beach Realtor, economist and educator who spent more than a decade working in community college systems in South Carolina and North Carolina.[1]

Ballotpedia lists David Wilson as a graduate of Sol C. Johnson High School with a graduate degree from the University of North Carolina in 2017, and as a real estate professional.[1] In a Ballotpedia survey, he said he lives in Myrtle Beach and worked for over a decade in the community college systems of both Carolinas, including as a Career Pathway Coordinator designing educational tracks tied to local industries.[1] He said that work led him to advocate a skills-first model that includes career and technical education, early apprenticeships and vocational training in K-12.[1]

Wilson said his campaign agenda, which he calls RAISE, would establish a state minimum wage, cap property tax increases and cap utility costs.[1] He also said that his focus for District 105 includes flooding mitigation and local road repair, and that he wants balanced growth rather than developer-driven mega-projects.[1]
