Biography
David Nelson is the Republican candidate for Oklahoma House of Representatives District 16 in the November 3, 2026 general election, running against Democrat Rosie Lynch in a race with no incumbent.[1]
Nelson advanced from the Republican primary for District 16 without appearing on the ballot after the June 16, 2026 primary was canceled.[1] He previously ran in the 2025 special Republican primary for Oklahoma State Senate District 8, finishing second with 31.6 percent of the vote on March 4, 2025.[1] Nelson then lost the April 1, 2025 special Republican primary runoff to Bryan Logan, 55.6 percent to 44.4 percent.[1]
