David Dewar is the Republican candidate for the Illinois House of Representatives, District 35, in the November 3, 2026 general election, in which he faces incumbent Democrat Mary Gill.[1] He advanced from the Republican primary on March 17, 2026.[1]
David Dewar ran in the 2019 nonpartisan general election for Chicago City Council, Ward 19, and lost to incumbent Matthew O'Shea, receiving 14.8 percent of the vote.[1]
