Biography
Darci Smith is the Democratic candidate for the Minnesota House of Representatives, District 37A, in the November 3, 2026 general election, facing Republican Tom McKee in a race with no incumbent.[1] A real estate agent, she says she has a background in sales and executive roles and is running on affordability.[1][2]
Darci Smith earned a high school diploma from Roosevelt High School and works as a real estate agent.[1] In a Ballotpedia survey, Smith described herself as a working-class bonus mom to special-needs children who built skills in advocacy and negotiation through sales and real estate.[2] She wrote that she is the daughter of a factory worker and veteran and a secretary, and that her family went into bankruptcy after her mother was diagnosed with breast cancer when Smith was 17.[2] Smith said she wants to make government more efficient without raising the cost of living, and to close loopholes for the wealthy to fund affordability measures.[2]
