RCandidate

On the ballot Nov 3, 2026: Iowa House District 60

Biography

Dani Ollenburg is the Republican candidate for Iowa House of Representatives District 60 in the November 3, 2026 general election, running against Democrat Alexander Schmidt.[1][3] A dental hygienist from Clear Lake, she advanced from the Republican primary on June 2, 2026.[1][2]

Dani Ollenburg graduated from Garner-Hayfield High School and earned an associate degree from Des Moines Area Community College in 2011.[1] In a Ballotpedia survey, she described herself as a lifelong Iowan living in Clear Lake, a wife and mother of three, and a licensed dental hygienist.[2] She said she became involved as a Trump caucus captain and has volunteered for Republican campaigns from the local level to President Trump's re-election campaign.[2]

Ollenburg's survey answers listed three key messages: working to eliminate property taxes on homestead properties and to eliminate tax increment financing districts, refusing corporate PAC money and supporting term limits for Congress, and opposing eminent domain for private gain.[2] She described herself as pro-life and pro-school choice and as favoring small government and local control.[2]
