Claire Reynolds is the Democratic nominee challenging incumbent August Pfluger in Texas's 11th District. A lawyer who was born in Indiana and moved to Texas in 2007, she has not held elected office.[2][3] She is campaigning on affordability, health care, immigration reform and reproductive rights in a district she says was redrawn to entrench Republican control.[1][2]

Reynolds was born in Indiana and grew up in central Illinois, according to her campaign website; KOSA reported that she grew up in rural Illinois.[2][3][4] She earned a journalism degree from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism and a law degree from the University of San Diego School of Law, and she passed the California bar.[2][3]

Reynolds moved to Texas in 2007 and lives in Austin, which she says was placed in the 11th District by redistricting; she describes raising her family in Texas.[2] She worked for the State Bar of Texas in its Office of the Chief Disciplinary Counsel, and KOSA reported that she was stepping away from that work to run for Congress.[3][4] In the year before her Ballotpedia survey response she volunteered as a pro bono attorney with Lawyers for Good Government's Fund Protection Clinic, advising organizations affected by federal grant cuts.[3] She has not previously held elected office and won the Democratic nomination in the March 3, 2026 primary.[3]
