Biography

Chrystal Roll is the Democratic candidate for the Nevada State Senate, District 16, in the November 3, 2026 general election, in which she faces incumbent Republican Lisa Krasner.[1][3] A licensed clinical social worker, she said in a Ballotpedia survey that her priorities are mental health, disability services and social services programs.[2]

Chrystal Roll graduated from Andrew Jackson High School and earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2014 and a graduate degree there in 2021.[1] In a Ballotpedia survey, she said she is a licensed clinical social worker who maintains a private practice and works at a community mental health clinic, providing therapy to children, adults, families and participants in mental health court programs in several rural northern Nevada counties.[2] She said she also consults with community health providers to support Nevadans with developmental disabilities in living independently, and that she lives in Carson City with her wife and their two children.[2]

The Democratic primary for the seat on June 9, 2026 was canceled, and Roll advanced to the general election.[1] She said that Nevadans with disabilities should have a seat at the table and that she wants to bring lessons from supporting her own family to the Legislature.[2] She listed endorsements from Pete Buttigieg, AFSCME Local 4041, SEIU Local 1107, Teamsters Nevada and Planned Parenthood Advocates Mar Monte, among others.[2]
