Biography
Christopher Salmon is the Democratic candidate for the New Hampshire House of Representatives, Sullivan 4, in the November 3, 2026 general election.[1][2] An artist and glassblower, he says his central proposal is to lower local property taxes by funding special education from statewide sources.[2][3]
Christopher Salmon graduated from Midland High School and earned a bachelor's degree from Goddard College in 1974.[2] Ballotpedia lists his career as artist, and in a Ballotpedia survey he said he continues to work as a glassblower and has done so since age 17.[2][3] He said he volunteered as an emergency medical technician on his town's ambulance for 41 years, served as a past captain, and has taught in both public and private schools.[3]
In the survey, Salmon said New Hampshire's method of funding special education is a problem and that moving its cost off local school property taxes to statewide sources through a commission would lower local property taxes and reduce redundant administration.[3]
