Biography
Christopher Ireland is the Republican candidate for the Rhode Island House of Representatives, District 7, where he faces Democrat Amy Santiago in the November 3, 2026 general election.[1][2] He ran for the same seat as an independent in 2022 and lost to incumbent David Morales.[1]
In a 2022 Ballotpedia survey, Christopher Ireland said he had lived in Providence for about 20 years, in the Mount Pleasant, Valley and Elmhurst neighborhoods, and that he is a homeowner, business owner, husband and father.[3] He said then that he was running as an independent because he believes in policy over party, and that his first-term priorities would be education, the business environment, and housing.[3]
