On the ballot Nov 3, 2026: Oklahoma House District 20

Biography

Chris May is the Democratic candidate for Oklahoma House of Representatives District 20 in the November 3, 2026 general election, where he faces Republican incumbent Jonathan Wilk.[1] A U.S. Marine Corps veteran who works as an IT professional, he says he is running to strengthen public education, expand health care access and increase transparency in how tax dollars are used.[1][2]

May served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 2005 to 2010, and Ballotpedia lists his profession as IT professional.[1] In a Ballotpedia survey, he described himself as a father, husband and Marine Corps veteran who grew up in a family with little money and in both rural and urban areas.[2] He said he has children in public schools, and he listed refocusing on public education as the first of his campaign messages.[2]

May's Democratic primary was canceled, and he advanced to the general election without appearing on the primary ballot.[1]
