Biography

Chris Harden is the Democratic nominee in Georgia's 11th Congressional District. A Rossville native, he is an attorney who co-owns an estate-planning and probate firm in Woodstock and has spent about 13 years as a contract attorney handling juvenile-court dependency cases for Georgia counties. He is running on lowering costs, healthcare, and government accountability.[1][2][3]

Harden was born in Rossville, Georgia, and graduated from Ridgeland High School. He says he grew up in a working-class family and is the oldest of three siblings.[1][2] He earned an associate degree from Chattanooga State Technical Community College in 2005, a bachelor's degree in political science and pre-law from Georgia State University in 2009, and a law degree from Atlanta's John Marshall Law School in 2012.[1][2] According to his campaign website, he worked full time, including driving a forklift and loading trucks, while attending school at night.[3] He passed the bar and was sworn in to practice law in 2012.[1]

Harden has worked about 13 years as a contract attorney taking appointed juvenile-court dependency cases, representing parents or children, for Walker, Catoosa, Dade, Chattooga, DeKalb, Gordon, Bartow and now Cherokee counties.[1] He co-owns the Harden Law Firm, LLC, an estate-planning and probate practice in Woodstock, with his wife, Amber, and lives in Cherokee County with her and their five-year-old triplets, according to his survey responses.[1] He won the May 19, 2026 Democratic primary for the open seat, defeating Barry Wolfert.[2][4]
