Charles Dudley is the Democratic candidate for North Carolina State Senate District 3 in the November 3, 2026 general election, running against incumbent Bob Brinson (R).[1][2] He was the Democratic nominee for the same seat in 2024.[1]
Charles Dudley lost the Democratic primary for North Carolina House of Representatives District 3 to Barbara Lee on May 8, 2018.[1] In the 2018 Ballotpedia candidate survey, he named education, a living wage and affordable health care as his top three priorities.[1] In 2024 he won the Democratic primary for North Carolina State Senate District 3 and lost the general election to incumbent Bob Brinson (R), 60.0% to 40.0%.[1] He advanced to the 2026 general election after the Democratic primary was canceled.[1]
