Brenda Lawrence is the Republican candidate for South Dakota State Senate District 15 in the November 3, 2026 general election, an open seat where she faces Erik Muckey (D).[1][2] She was the Republican nominee for the same district in 2022 and 2024.[2]
Brenda Lawrence ran for South Dakota State Senate District 15 in 2022, when she lost to incumbent Reynold Nesiba (D) with 47.2 percent of the vote.[2] She ran for the seat again in 2024 and lost to Jamie Smith (D), receiving 47.6 percent.[2]
