Brandon Van Dover is the Democratic candidate for Minnesota State Senate District 27 in the November 3, 2026 general election, running against incumbent Andrew Mathews (R).[1][2] According to his campaign website, he served in the United States Army.[3]
Van Dover's campaign website says he joined the Army and swore an oath to defend the Constitution, and that this commitment led him to run.[3] It says he is running on protecting rights, protecting the environment and an economy that works for people in the district.[3]
