Ben Gruber

DCandidate

On the ballot Nov 3, 2026: Wisconsin Assembly District 51

Biography

Ben Gruber is the Democratic candidate for Wisconsin State Assembly District 51 in the November 3, 2026 general election, facing incumbent Republican Todd Novak and American Solidarity Party candidate Nathan Tataje.[1][2] His campaign website says he is a conservation warden who previously worked as a volunteer EMT, firefighter, paramedic and police officer.[3]

Gruber's campaign website says he grew up on a rural patch of land as the oldest of three children and worked at a local cheese factory.[3] It says he is a husband and father and that his daughter faced a 97-minute bus ride to kindergarten after the elementary school in Arena closed.[3]

The website says Gruber will work to lower everyday costs, rebuild rural communities, protect natural resources and strengthen the right of workers to organize.[3]
