Biography
Beau Klaver is the Republican candidate for Iowa House of Representatives District 55, an open seat, in the November 3, 2026 general election against Democrat Cynthia Paschen.[1][3] A farmer and business owner from Kamrar, he won the June 2, 2026 Republican primary over Kurtis Bower and Brian Young.[1][2]
In a Ballotpedia survey, Klaver described himself as a sixth-generation Iowa farmer and business owner from Kamrar who built a drone business from the ground up.[2] He graduated from Webster High School, and Ballotpedia lists a bachelor's degree from Iowa State University in 2026.[1]
Klaver said he is passionate about agriculture policy, small business and economic development, and rural communities.[2] His listed campaign messages were keeping younger generations of Iowans in the state, supporting local and small businesses, and protecting family farms, which he called the leading economic driver for District 55.[2]
