Barb Gleim is a Republican member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for District 199, which she has represented since December 2018, and is running for re-election in the November 3, 2026 general election.[1][2] She is a farmer and business owner in the Carlisle area, according to her Ballotpedia survey responses.[3]
Gleim graduated from Glenelg High School, earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland, College Park in 1985, and earned a graduate degree from Delaware Valley University in 2009.[1]
In a Ballotpedia survey, Gleim said she and her husband own and farm Hayman Farms, a family farm that raises and sells grass-fed Hereford beef and hay.[3] She said she served on the Cumberland Valley School Board for eight years and as a township auditor before entering the House.[3] She listed her committee service as Education, Labor and Industry, Commerce and Aging, and said four bills she prime sponsored have been signed into law, including agritourism legislation.[3] Gleim named affordability, agriculture and education as the three key messages of her campaign.[3]
