Biography
Anne Berbert is the Democratic candidate for Utah House of Representatives District 15 in the November 3, 2026 general election, in which she faces incumbent Ariel Defay (R).[1][2] A chief operating officer, she named financial security, human dignity and practical policy solutions as her key messages in a Ballotpedia survey.[1][3]
Anne Berbert graduated from Davis High School and Brigham Young University.[1] In a Ballotpedia survey, she said she was born in Cedar City, was raised in Davis County and lives in Layton, and that as the former spouse of a U.S. diplomat she lived in China, the United Kingdom and Samoa.[3] She said she holds a master's degree in English, was completing an MBA, and has worked in health care, technology, communications and finance.[3] Berbert also said she is the mother of five and grandmother of four.[3]
Berbert's survey named financial security, human dignity, and policy that benefits the whole rather than a few as her three key messages.[3] She said the state's greatest challenges include drought, protecting the Great Salt Lake, the rising cost of living, health care costs, and school funding and teacher pay.[3] She listed endorsements from the Utah State Progressive Caucus and Green Wave Utah, among others.[3]
