On the ballot Nov 3, 2026: Oklahoma House District 32

Biography

Andy Brown is an independent candidate for Oklahoma House of Representatives District 32 in the November 3, 2026 general election, where he faces Republican incumbent Jim Shaw.[1] He describes himself as a retired farmer from Lincoln County who is running on education, job training and reducing poverty.[1][2]

Brown graduated from Harmony High School, and Ballotpedia lists his profession as farmer.[1] In a Ballotpedia survey, he described himself as a 57-year-old retired farmer who has been married to his wife, Deann, for 33 years, has two sons and has lived in Lincoln County for 18 years.[2] He chose "pragmatic" as the one word to describe himself.[2]

Brown said Oklahoma's high poverty rate is directly related to its ranking in education, and that improving education and expanding adult job training would raise incomes and broaden the tax base.[2]
