Andrea Murray's Ballotpedia profile lists her career experience as working as a farmer.[1] She was a Republican candidate for the Windsor District Senate seat in 2024, when she advanced from the August 13 Republican primary and finished fourth among the candidates in the general election for three seats, with 13.8 percent of the vote.[1]

In a 2024 Ballotpedia survey, Murray described herself as a local farmer and a moderate Vermont Republican committed to restoring balance and fiscal responsibility in the State Senate.[3] She said her key messages included voting against the Clean Heat Standard, repealing and replacing the Global Warming Solutions Act with goals rather than mandates, lowering taxes, and sponsoring legislation to exempt Social Security benefits from state income tax.[3] She also said Vermont should prioritize education funding directed toward teaching and students rather than administrative overhead.[3]
