Biography

Andrea Lee Anderson is the Republican candidate for California State Assembly District 52 in the November 3, 2026 general election, facing incumbent Jessica Caloza (D).[1][2] In a Ballotpedia survey, she said she is running to lower taxes and regulations, improve education accountability and prosecute crime.[3]

In a 2026 Ballotpedia survey, Andrea Lee Anderson said she comes from a family that valued community service, noting that her father was mayor of her town, her mother was a social worker and later worked for the Girl Scouts, and her husband ran for Congress.[3] She said California's regulations and taxes have driven businesses out of the state and that she wants a business-friendly environment.[3]

Anderson listed lower taxes and regulations, quality education with signed contracts among parents, teachers and students, and prosecuting crime as her three key messages.[3] She also said legislation should be written by Assembly members working together rather than by lawyers, citing unintended consequences such as the plastic bag mandate.[3] Her listed endorsers include Reform California.[3]
