Allison Mitchell is the Democratic candidate for Texas House of Representatives District 108 in the November 3, 2026 general election, facing Republican Morgan Meyer.[1][2] A Dallas entrepreneur and Dallas ISD parent, she says she is running on public education funding, affordability and healthcare costs.[1]
Mitchell graduated from the Hockaday School and earned a bachelor's degree from Lake Forest College in 2008.[1] In a 2026 Ballotpedia survey, her campaign described her as a Dallas native raised in House District 108, a mother of two, and the founder of a women's accessories brand in Dallas, and as the author of a children's book celebrating diversity and resilience.[1] The survey also describes her as the mother of a child with disabilities.[1]
Mitchell advanced from the Democratic primary on March 3, 2026.[1] Her survey lists three key messages: fully funding public education and opposing vouchers, property tax relief and greater transparency in the home insurance market, and expanding Medicaid to lower healthcare costs.[1] She listed endorsements from groups including Annie's List, the American Federation of Teachers, the Texas AFL-CIO, the Texas State Teachers Association and Planned Parenthood Texas Votes PAC.[1]
