Biography
Allen Miller is the Democratic candidate for the Indiana House of Representatives, District 73, in the November 3, 2026 general election, facing Republican incumbent Jennifer Meltzer.[1][2] A technical writer who lives in Greensburg, he lists infrastructure, workers' rights and public education among his priorities.[2][3]
Allen Miller graduated from Cardinal Ritter High School and earned a bachelor's degree from the Franciscan University of Steubenville in 2014.[2] His career experience includes working as a technical writer.[2] In a Ballotpedia survey, he said he was born and raised in Indiana, lived on a small farm outside Pendleton as a child, moved to Indianapolis at age 7, and settled in Greensburg in 2018.[3] He said he is the father of two children.[3]
Miller advanced from the Democratic primary for District 73 on May 5, 2026, without a primary opponent.[2] In his survey, he said the state's biggest hurdle is abandoned infrastructure, including roads, stormwater systems, bridges and public transit, and that he wants public utility infrastructure reclaimed from private interests.[3] He said he would work to repeal Indiana's right-to-work law, strengthen unions and raise the minimum wage.[3] He also said he supports restoring school district funding that he said Senate Bill 1 reduced and ending the school choice program, which he called a "scam."[3]
