Alejandro Galicia is the Republican candidate for California State Assembly District 80 in the November 3, 2026 general election, facing incumbent Democrat David Alvarez.[1]
Alejandro Galicia advanced from the June 2, 2026 primary for Assembly District 80 with 34.2% of the vote.[1] He previously ran as a Republican for California State Senate District 18 in 2022, advancing from the primary and losing the general election to Steve Padilla, 115,103 votes to 77,223.[1] In 2024 he was a candidate for San Diego County Board of Supervisors District 1, a nonpartisan office, and lost the general election to incumbent Nora Vargas, 127,708 votes to 76,761.[1]
