Alan Bond is an independent candidate running on the Hope for Tomorrow Party line for New Jersey's 11th Congressional District. He holds degrees from Dartmouth College and Harvard Business School and previously worked in pension-fund management, a career that ended in a 2002 federal fraud conviction and a prison term. He also ran in and lost the April 2026 special election for this seat.[3]

- legalIndicted in December 1999 for a pension-fund "kickback" scheme that diverted $6.9 million to personal accounts, and again in August 2001 for a securities "cherry picking" scheme; pleaded guilty to the kickback scheme, was convicted by a federal jury on six counts of fraud in the cherry-picking case on June 10, 2002, and was sentenced in 2003 to 12 years and 7 months in prison and ordered to pay $6.6 million in restitution. He was released from prison in 2008.[3]
